In dialogue with his family and his numerous companions, the book takes a look at the Fritz Keller phenomenon, at Baden cuisine and wine culture and at a commitment to enjoyment, community and fully fermented Burgundy wine that has become more valuable than ever these days.
Fritz Keller grew up under the influences of the French food and wine culture, influenced by the Baden cuisine of his mother and grandmother and under the strict regiment of his father, and discovered his love of wine early on. As a winegrower, he tread new paths, always on the lookout for ways to democratize taste. As a wanderer between tradition and modernity, this attitude is also reflected in his work as a restaurateur and in his function as the president of the SC Freiburg.
Because it was very important for Fritz Keller to visualise the work in the vineyard during a whole year, the entire photo production was planned in such a way that we were able to accompany all the important milestones from preparation to planting and harvest.
